In-Depth Editorial Review. This service is for manuscripts that are virtually completed and ready for submission/publication. It is most productive after writers have completed several drafts and feel that their product is at the highest level that they can attain. The purpose of an editorial review is to find ways to bring the manuscript to the next level and to help the author develop his/her own personal style.

The editorial review includes 10-12 pages of notes on character and plot development, narrative effectiveness, dialogue, and scene/story structure and organization. It also offers on-page editorial suggestions for polishing and perfecting draft.

First 3 Chapters (up to 60 pages): $400

Manuscript (up to 85,000 words): $1,200

Overall Stylistic Review. This service is for a manuscript that is a “work-in-progress.” It includes 4-6 pages of notes and analysis that consider character and plot development, narrative effectiveness, dialogue, and scene/story structure and organization. The objective is to bring clarity to writing process with suggestions for improvement of personal style.

First 3 Chapters (up to 60 pages): $350

Manuscript (up to 85,000 words): $900

Copy Editing/Proofreading. This service includes editing /proofreading for grammar, usage, spelling, punctuation, and other mechanics of style, and checking for consistency of mechanics compatible with published manuscripts.

$60 per hour

 

*Industry standards set the number of words per page at 250. Manuscripts must be double-spaced.
